Architecton

2024 / 1h 39m / Documentary
Directed by Victor Kossakovsky

SYNOPSIS

A meditative documentary that reflects on architecture through the materials that shape it and examines the built environment and questions how we construct—and deconstruct—our world.

ABOUT THE FILM

In Architecton, directed by Victor Kossakovsky, landscapes of quarries, ruins, and construction sites frame a quiet reflection on how we build. Centered on Michele De Lucchi, the film examines cycles of extraction and excess, revealing architecture as a reflection of power and consequence. In doing so, it invites us to see building as a choice, and to imagine more intentional, responsible ways forward.
